If you’ve faced discrimination at work, burnout, felt unheard in a system that wasn’t built for you, or are simply exhausted from masking, surviving, and pushing through—this space is for you.
I’m Kerry Tidman, a deaf, neurodivergent, care-experienced therapist and coach. I created The Holistic Dojo to be a sanctuary for people like us. A place to come home to yourself, rebuild your confidence, and begin healing from the harm caused by burnout, exclusion, and workplace trauma—especially in schools, public sector roles, and frontline professions.
In Japanese, “Dojo” means a place of the way — a sacred space for inner discipline, practice, and growth. Traditionally used in martial arts, I’ve reimagined it as a healing ground for self-discovery, especially for those who’ve been pushed to the margins.
The Holistic Dojo blends my background in martial arts philosophy, my work as a therapist and school counsellor, and my lived experience navigating ableist systems. It’s not just a brand. It’s a rebellion. A refuge. A way back to yourself.
This space isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about reclaiming what was buried beneath survival.
I don’t offer surface-level solutions.
I offer deep, soul-led transformation.
My work weaves together:
✨ Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Helping you unlearn the noise and align with what truly matters
✨ Kintsugi Philosophy – Embracing your cracks as part of your beauty, not something to hide
✨ Person-centred therapy – Holding space with warmth, trust, and zero judgement
✨ Lived experience – As a Deaf, neurodivergent woman who’s faced workplace discrimination, I don’t speak from theory—I speak from truth
✨ Coaching & Advocacy – Supporting you to rebuild your identity, advocate for your needs, and move forward with clarity
This isn’t just therapy. It’s reclamation.
Together, we create healing that feels real, rooted, and yours.
The Holistic Dojo is a space for those navigating the emotional fallout of burnout, discrimination, and being repeatedly unheard.
I work with:
Whether it was ableism, racism, audism, classism, or systemic exclusion—if you’ve been harmed in spaces that should have protected you, you deserve a space that finally sees you.
This work is about recovery—but also about restoring what discrimination tried to take.
