Work With Us – Our Services

Wooden figures of people showing inclusivity

🟡 Hear Me: Deaf Identity, Bias & Belonging at Work

A 1-hour virtual training with Kerry Tidman
Deaf therapist, TEDx speaker, and founder of The Holistic Dojo & The Belonging Dojo CIC

💬 “You don’t look deaf.”
I’ve heard this more times than I can count. It’s one example of how bias, assumptions, and outdated language continue to show up in our workplaces — often without people even realising.

Hear Me isn’t your typical Deaf awareness session.
This is inclusion training with a heartbeat.

🔸 What makes this different?

  • I’ve been on the other side — a Deaf staff member unsupported and excluded in mainstream education

  • I’m not just sharing definitions — I’m a trauma therapist unpacking the emotional impact of microaggressions and systemic barriers

  • We go beyond "tick box awareness" to explore identity, belonging, and internalised bias

  • It’s a safe, shame-free space to reflect, learn, and grow — not be called out

  • Every session is rooted in storytelling, psychological safety, and holistic insight

✅ What we’ll cover:

  • What “deaf”, “Deaf”, and “hard of hearing” actually mean — and why language matters

  • My lived experience of identity, exclusion, and finding belonging

  • How microaggressions and unconscious bias impact Deaf and disabled staff

  • Practical communication tips and access strategies

  • One simple action to start building real belonging — today

✨ What’s included:

  • 1-hour live Zoom session

  • Gentle reflection worksheet to deepen learning

  • Summary email with key insights, inclusive language guide, and signposting

🟡 Optional: Add a copy of my book How Do You Deaf? at a discounted rate for your team

💷 Pricing:

  • £325 per organisation

  • Discounted rates for CICs, schools, and small community groups

  • Grant-funded delivery may be available for eligible settings

While many awareness sessions are designed to tick a box, Hear Me creates a shift. It’s rooted in real stories, real feelings — and real change.

🟡 Hear Me: Deaf Identity, Trauma & Belonging at Work

A 90-minute in-person workshop with Kerry Tidman
Deaf therapist, TEDx speaker, and founder of The Holistic Dojo & The Belonging Dojo CIC

💬 “You don’t look deaf.”
It sounds harmless — but it speaks volumes.
This session goes deeper than awareness. It’s about bias, burnout, and the real emotional toll of being unheard in workplaces that weren’t built for us.

🌿 Why This Workshop Is Different

This isn’t corporate training. It’s identity work.

You’ll hear lived experience, unpack real trauma, and reflect on the deep impact that exclusion, microaggressions, and access failures have on Deaf, disabled and hard-of-hearing people — in education, workplaces, and everyday life.

This session blends storytelling, bias reflection, and group discussion with trauma-informed, holistic insight — rooted in Kerry’s experience as a therapist and former school counsellor.

🔸 What’s Included:

  • 90–120 minute in-person session

  • Real-life scenarios and workplace case studies

  • Safe, honest breakout discussions

  • Gentle trauma-informed guidance on bias, access, and identity

  • One signed copy of Kerry’s book How Do You Deaf? for each participant

  • Follow-up email with language guidance, key takeaways, and reflection prompts

💷 Pricing (includes books):

  • £495 for up to 10 participants (includes 10 signed books)

  • Additional attendees: +£25 each (to cover book + materials)

  • CICs/small school rate: £425
