🟡 Hear Me: Deaf Identity, Bias & Belonging at Work
A 1-hour virtual training with Kerry Tidman
Deaf therapist, TEDx speaker, and founder of The Holistic Dojo & The Belonging Dojo CIC
💬 “You don’t look deaf.”
I’ve heard this more times than I can count. It’s one example of how bias, assumptions, and outdated language continue to show up in our workplaces — often without people even realising.
Hear Me isn’t your typical Deaf awareness session.
This is inclusion training with a heartbeat.
🟡 Optional: Add a copy of my book How Do You Deaf? at a discounted rate for your team
While many awareness sessions are designed to tick a box, Hear Me creates a shift. It’s rooted in real stories, real feelings — and real change.
🟡 Hear Me: Deaf Identity, Trauma & Belonging at Work
A 90-minute in-person workshop with Kerry Tidman
Deaf therapist, TEDx speaker, and founder of The Holistic Dojo & The Belonging Dojo CIC
💬 “You don’t look deaf.”
It sounds harmless — but it speaks volumes.
This session goes deeper than awareness. It’s about bias, burnout, and the real emotional toll of being unheard in workplaces that weren’t built for us.
This isn’t corporate training. It’s identity work.
You’ll hear lived experience, unpack real trauma, and reflect on the deep impact that exclusion, microaggressions, and access failures have on Deaf, disabled and hard-of-hearing people — in education, workplaces, and everyday life.
This session blends storytelling, bias reflection, and group discussion with trauma-informed, holistic insight — rooted in Kerry’s experience as a therapist and former school counsellor.
💛 Travel costs apply if outside West Midlands
🟡 Additional discounts may be available for grant-funded delivery
While many awareness sessions are designed to tick a box, Hear Me creates a shift. It’s rooted in real stories, real feelings — and real change.
